The Marsh Antoine is synonymous to privileged contact with nature with 284 hectares of wetland protected from water level fluctuation. This environnement shelters many species of animal and vegetable.
The abundance varies according to the seasons. From May until the frost, the ducks, the Canada geese as well as several species stay in it during the migration towards James Bay and ever more northward.
Easily accessible by footbridge, you can pick wild mushrooms, various berries and blueberries. Distaffs line the path where you can savor these moments of delight. Cameras are getting ready, the whispers and the chirpings are a sweet music to hear.
All along the path panels of interpretation help you to understand this environment. Binoculars are useful for the ornithologists and for those who want to admire moose on the background. On your left, you have a magnificent sight of lake Abitibi.
